L.O.V.E: Let Our Vulnerability Exult

This book is filled with poems that express my trials and tribulations of love through revealing my truth, feeling it in its entirety and healing from it. Revealing your truth, feeling it in its entirety and healing from it in order to move on, I have realized, is a part of love. It is helping me become the best me. Becoming vulnerable with myself has allowed me to reveal parts of myself that I may not have wanted to deal with although those are usually the best parts. Rejecting parts of myself that I see as flaws or regrets leaves negative thoughts and feelings on the soul. No matter if it is that you think you have chubby knees that you hate or the fact that you demolished your soul having to repair it for a person, these are all beautiful parts of you. These parts of you make up the brave, confident, strong willed, beautiful person you are. You cannot be mad at yourself for loving someone blindly and getting hurt, because the lessons you learned from that part of your life made the person you are that won’t make the same mistakes in the future. In order to fully love ourselves and others we have to look within, starting with revealing our truth, feeling it in its entirety and healing from it. Accept these parts of yourself, and do what needs to be done to see these things as a positive. We cannot fully, truly, openly, honestly, freely, and healthily love someone if we do not do this for ourselves. In order to make the world a better place we have to start with ourselves.
